Professional Learning From Leaders, For Leaders
The 2026 conference will bring together 400 school system leaders and administrators at the world-renowned Banff Centre for three days of professional learning, research, and leadership conversations focused on outdoor learning.
Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and experiential outdoor engagement opportunities, participants will engage in a forum‑style exchange of ideas, bringing system leaders together to examine challenges, share innovations, and collaboratively explore how outdoor learning can drive meaningful systems‑level transformation in K–12 education.
Through a systems approach, we will address how school districts can seamlessly and intentionally leverage Outdoor Learning to embed the following key focus areas into their strategic planning and visioning:
➢ Leadership and System Implementation
➢ Policy, Operations and Risk Management
➢ Student and Staff Health and Wellbeing
➢ Indigenous Knowledge
